The story revolves around a middle class old couple Soumitra & Supriya. They have 3 sons & 2 daughters. Except the eldest son all of them are married and settled. All the 3 sons along with parents are staying in one roof but having separate kitchens. Eldest son, being unmarried is the most obedient and kind hearted person. He is the only one who takes care of his ailing parents. Conflicts, mis-understanding in a joint family cannot be avoided. Soumitra the main protagonist tries his best to avoid these daily problems, but he feels he is helpless. He decides to commit suicide and on learning about his inner feelings, wife Supriya also wants to give her life along with her husband. What happens next?
