Dr Digambar chatterjee's daughter nupur flees away from her home only because she had certain apprehension about her marriage. Dr chatterjee announces an award of rupees ten thousand for whereabouts. Always unsuccessful private detectives bhanu and his assistance johar came across her picture in the newspaper. They decide to trace her out and take the award. Nupur, seeing her photo in the newspaper starts changing places until she lands in the house of a reputed singer anjan, a bachelor. To hide nupur from the eyes of detectives anjan takes nupur to a hilly region. But relentless bhanu and johar ultimately discover nupur with anjan. They inform nupur's whereabot to her father Dr chatterjee acomes only to realise that the person with whom he wanted to marry his daughter was anjan only. All is well in the end of his hilarious comedy. Though bhanu and johar fail to get the award money, they taste the success for the first time in their professional carrier.
